Choose wisely when considering kitchen flooring

Choosing the material for the floor of your kitchen is as important as choosing the flooring for your bathroom. I mean, can you imagine putting an absorbent material, such as, carpet in your bathroom? The things that would grow in the floor could start an epidemic. Well, the same could be said of the kitchen. This is why kitchen flooring is important, after all, the ingredients, all end up in the same place.

Where else in the home do most of the spills occur? Hardwood must be cleaned immediately, carpet can be stained immediately, and the grout between tile can absorb nasty things that inhibit bacteria growth. This can be hazardous, because there are times when things get spilled, and you may not be aware until days later.

On a laminate floor, you could leave the spill for days, and come back to clean it using the harshest of cleaners without fear of damaging the surface. This is due to carpet being fibrous and absorbate, and hardwood being, temperamental and, over time, absorbent. Sometimes, the worst thing you could do to carpet or hardwood, is clean them.
