Installing laminate flooring in your home is affordable and, not to mention, healthy

Laminate flooring is easy and inexpensive to install, making it one of the most popular floor coverings in America. Laminate flooring is practically made for do-it-yourself homeowners. The difference in cost between laminate and natural hardwood flooring makes installing laminate flooring easier to have it professionally done, as well.

Laminate floors are healthier than hardwood floors, and even carpet. Some carpet contains cancerous fibers that are released onto the air with normal wear, and hardwood flooring can be hard on the back with it’s unforgiving “hardness”. Laminate floors “float” on padding similar to the thick pad beneath carpet. This gives the floor a flex that will negate the solidity of a solid floor and will make installation more forgiving on an uneven floor, and will ultimately be much nicer to your back and feet.

There are so many reasons to choose laminate floors over hardwood or carpeting, but if the health risks associated with the other two aren’t enough perhaps the ease of installation and maintenance are. The time and cost of installation is much less with laminate floors, and most any substance spilled on a laminate floor can be cleaned up using the harshest of cleaners with no risk of discoloration. With hardwood and carpet, sometimes, cleaning is the most destructive part of owning hardwood or carpeting.
