Floor and Decor to Floor You
Don't ignore your floor
What people often miss out on is the relation between floor and décor while doing up their rooms. Before you start to remodel your room you should remember that the floor is the basic foundation of your room and floor and décor go hand in hand. The function of a floor is twofold: it should be pleasing to the eye as well as practical.
How to choose your floor?
When you decide on your floor you have to keep in mind two factors: the style that suits you and the budget you have. Remember floor and décor of your room should blend in. So before you choose the floor the first thing you need to look at is what would the space be used for, whether the traffic on it is heavy or light. Accordingly you can choose the material. You also will have to account for the color scheme of your room. Since the options for fabrics and cover are numerous it is better if you decide on the room color first and then decide on the floor. And although floor and décor complement each other, if your floor is not completely damaged try and work with the older one instead of getting an entire new floor just because you have chosen a new shade for your walls.
So, what alternatives you have?
1. Carpet
Probably the most preferred flooring, carpets can add that extra something to your floor and décor of the room. A wall-to-wall carpet is considered the most comfortable floor to have for your feet. It is also very easy to clean.
2. Hardwood
The best floor and décor combination that you can go for is hardwood floors with walls painted in soft shades. It gives richness to the entire floor and décor of the room but also requires high maintenance. But it is a bit expensive.
3. Tiles
If your budget is a bit tight and you also want to have a stylish look for your floor and décor, then you can go for various tiles that are available on market. You can opt for vinyl or laminate boards or other different kinds of tiles. They also require little or no care.
Hope you have got enough hints about your floor and décor of your room. Now get down to do up your house.
